Talking to the media persons here today the Alliance leaders alleged that after ending reservation in promotions, the BJP is hell bent upon to finish direct recruitment resevation for SC, ST, OBCs in JKUT. They said JKRCEA, as frontal organization of SC,ST, OBC communities had been raising concerns about the plight of reserved categories, especially after abrogation of Article 370 and false slogans by the top leaders of the ruling dispensation. But they never paid any heed to the issues of reserved categories. In fact, after Art 370 abrogation the socio-economic condition of all including marginalized communities have further deteriorated in J&K.
Prof GL Thapa said that in spite of promises of former Governors, present LG and many BJP leaders, the grievances of SCs,STs, OBCs of J&K have remained un-solved and there is severe betrayal with these communities in the name of extension of all constitutional rights, harassment of employees at work places, killing of reservation in employments in J&K, non-implementation of Mandal Commission report, unfair report by BC Commission and so on.
Mohinder Bhagat alleged that some bureaucrats are extremely anti-reserved categories and invariably harsh towards reserved categories employees by giving them difficult area postings. There are no whereabouts of SC Component Plans and their implementation in JKUT, pre and post matric scholarship in crores stands unsanctioned and none is worried including SC-ST BJP leaders.
Sham Lal Basson said that ‘Land to Tiller’ was the excellent and unique act of empowering marginalized section in J&K that has been diluted by present government. There are glaring apathies against disbursement of ex-gratia to SC victims of militancy vis a vis upper caste sufferers. Old age and widow pensions have been abolished. There are issues with disbursement of ration even to very poor amongst all sections.
