JAMMU, Feb 9: BJP State spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan, while reacting to the recent statement of Congress senior leader & former Cabinet Minister, Sham Lal Sharma, charging BJP of surrendering Jammu’s interests, said that his remarks are completely false, baseless and misleading.
He said that in fact, it has been the Congress, which enjoyed the power in the State for maximum period, always ignored the interests of the people of Jammu region for the sake of power. The party is responsible for the political, economic and poor development conditions of Jammu province, he added.
Balbir Ram reminded the Congress that the BJP has always followed the legacy of great Dogra leader Pt. Premnath Dogra, who fought for the cause of Jammu and the patriotic people and Party is committed to the same.
“Will the Congress leader explain as to who was responsible for allocating less seats to Jammu province vis-a vis Kashmir province in State Assembly when Jammu had more population and more difficult terrain; who has been responsible for less share of Jammu province in the employment in civil secretariat in particular; what did Congress do for refugees; does it has anything to claim for Jammu province migrants; who misused Roshni Act “,questioned Balbir.
Balbir also posed many questions to Congress leader and sought a reply from him.
