JAMMU, Apr 25: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu Kashmir, secretary, Rekha Mahajan, has said that it is BJP, which has always given fair representation to the women in the organisation and is working for their socio-economic upliftment while in the Government.
Conveying her best wishes to the newly nominated office bearers of Mahila Morcha, Rekha Mahajan, said that the party has provision of 33 percent reservation for women in its organizational set up and besides it separate Mahila Morcha has been set up exclusively to be headed and run by women activists of the party while holding different posts.
The party has made this provision with an objective that the women should also be given an independent platform so that their working in the party can highlight the problems of and devote their time for welfare of their sisters.
Rekha Mahajan said that the BJP, while heading Government at the Centre, under Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has launched dozens of schemes for their welfare and socio- economic upliftment.
Rekha said that crores of women across the country are getting benefits of the schemes already started by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, in these days of Corona crisis, when people have confined themselves indoors.
“Under Ujjwala scheme, poor women can avail free cooking gas for 3 months and under Jan Dhan Yojana, Rs 500 each for three months are to be directly deposited in the bank account of poor women”, Rekha said and added that all this reflects the concern of the Prime Minister towards the welfare of women and their dignified living.
