BJP holds meeting of border villagers

KATHUA, Oct 8: BJP today organised a meeting of border villagers in Kunday Chak in Hiranagar tehsil which was presided over by Party’s district president for Kathua, Prem Nath Dogra.
Dogra, while complimenting the border people for showing exemplary courage and valour in facing the shelling and firing from across said the Indian troops are giving a befitting reply to enemy and entire nation feels proud of them.
Expressing his total solidarity with the border people, he said BJP Government led by Narendra Modi has taken up various welfare measures for them. He apprised the people that it was on the insistence of their MP and Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh that Union Government has sanctioned around 19,000 individual bunkers and 24000 community bunkers across the border.
He said Dr Jitendra Singh is particular to settle the long pending problems of the people in his Parliamentary Constituency and sanctioning of Medical College, Biotech Park and Engineering College in Kathua besides construction of bridge on river Ravi at Kiryan Gandyal and other developmental projects in other districts of the Constituency reveal that he has left no stone unturned in fulfilling his poll promises.
Addressing the gathering Deep Singh said it is for the first time that any Government has sanctioned Rs 2000 crore package for PoJK refugees.
The meeting was addressed by Jaspal Singh, Jagtar Singh, Kuldeep Singh and Gurmeet Singh among others.
