JAMMU, Mar 22: To expose unholy nexus between National Conference-Congress Coalition Government and anti-national elements, BJP activists under the leadership of party’s National Executive Member & former State President Dr Nirmal Singh today held a massive demonstration at Nagrota. Party activists also blocked Jammu-Srinagar National Highway for more than one hour.
A heavy contingent of police attempted to stop them from proceeding towards Kol Kandoli and there was scuffle between policemen and party activists. Later, they sat on dharna on the road which resulted into traffic jam for almost one hour. The protest was jointly organized by BJP State Working Committee member Nand Kishore Sharma Mandal presidents Puran Singh and Harish Kumar.
The party activists also burnt the effigy of the Coalition Government for its soft approach towards anti-national elements and harassment of patriotic people.
Dr. Nirmal Singh, while addressing the dharna said that the decision of the Omar Abdullah led Coalition Government to suspend BJP MLA Jugal Kishore Sharma from Legislative Assembly for raising voice against anti-national elements and protesting against discrimination with Jammu and Ladakh is an assault on the democratic rights of the people and a challenge to the nationalist forces in the state. He said that it is not the issue of just suspension but an indicator of the medieval mindset which the Kashmir-centric political parties represent.
It is the hidden agenda to appease separatists and silence the voice of nationalists. Under such circumstances, the Chief Minister has lost the moral right to continue in the office and sooner he goes, better it would be for the state.
Balbir Ram, Narayan Dutt Sharma, Lal Hussain Lodha, Munna Pandit,  Harish Kumar, Ashu, Parvez Ahmed, Puran Singh, Subash Chander, Krishan Lal, Tarseem Singh, Sansar Chand and others took part in the dharna.
Another demonstration was held at Purani Mandi Chowk under the leadership of BJP Legislative Party leader Ashok Khajuria. He warned that Party will continue the boycott of Assembly till suspension order of Jugal is revoked.
