BJP holds public meetings at Digiana, Talab Tiloo; attacks coalition

JAMMU, Mar 31: Continuing with Party’s “Gram Chalo, Ghar Chalo Abhiyaan”, BJP senior leaders addressed public meetings at Digiana and Talab Tiloo today and warned the Coalition Government of serious consequences for its anti people and anti Jammu policies.
The public gatherings were addressed by State president Jugal Kishore Sharma, Leader of Legislature Party Ashok Khajuria, State vice-president Col. (retd) Uttam Singh, State general secretary Kavinder Gupta, district. president Rajesh Gupta, which were organised by Mandal Presidents Sat Pal Choudhary and Ayodhya Gupta.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, while addressing meetings, said that the party has launched public awareness programmes across the State to reach the masses and mobilize the public opinion against the anti-national, pro-separatist and anti-people policies of Omar Abdullah led coalition.
He said that the current session of the Assembly has been turned into a ground providing space to prove loyalty towards militants like Afzal Guru and Liaqat Ali, while the important issues of development and public welfare were not touched at all. The party is organising public darbars to expose the unholy alliance of NC and Congress. He also criticized the Ministers and MLAs of the NC and Congress from Jammu for compromising on the interests of Jammu.
Ashok Khajuria said that the people have to be more alert now in view of friendly approach of the State Government towards anti-national elements and its attempts to silence the voice of nationalist people as well as those who want to draw attention towards matters related to development and discrimination. The educated youth are without jobs, employees, pensioners, refugees, farmers, border people are on roads agitating for fulfilment of their genuine demands but no one cares, he added.
He said the public money and precious time of the Assembly is wasted discussing Afzal Guru and Liaqat Ali. And the time has come when the Governor should intervene and recommend to the centre dissolution of the State Assembly forthwith.
Meanwhile, BJP senior leaders Sat Sharma (C.A.), Thakur Ranjit Singh and Kathua Distt. President Vijay Sharma addressed similar public meetings at Kathua town, Kathua Rural, Kathua Kandi and Lakhanpur.
BJP State secretary Er. Ghulam Ali Khatana, alongwith Distt. President Rajinder Singh addressed public meeting at Kishtwar.
At Pargwal, similar public meetings was addressed by BJP senior leader Chaman Lal Kanathia and district. President Sukhdev Singh.
