JAMMU, Dec 13: Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today said that BJP’s ideology can prove deterrent to terrorism and separatism.
Addressing booth level workers meeting here, he said the people in Kashmir should know the designs of terrorists and Pakistan. “After forcing the Kashmiri Pandits to leave the Valley by making selective killings, they are after the blood of innocent people in Valley now,” he added.
The Union Minister said that terrorists make the common man their target but unfortunately the political parties in the State are hesitating to hold an open debate on the same. While the economic standard of other states rose considerably, J&K suffered heavy loss due to terrorist violence in last over two decades, he added.
Lashing out at Congress, he said for remaining in power it changed sides from PDP to NC and wanted to have the loaf of the bread from both sides throwing the people’s cause to winds. They (Congress leaders) wanted to be part of Government by hook or by crook and install their three to four ministers and loot the public money, he added.
The Union Minister said that no political party except BJP has guts to take on separatists and terrorists openly and held the Congress, NC and PDP responsible for the regional imbalances, lack of development, corruption and unrest in the State.
Jaitley said that all the three seats of Jammu city are going in favour of BJP and it will obviously add to achieve Mission 44+. Referring to the recent Parliamentary election results, he said that this time the time tested methodology of vowing the voters on the basis of caste and class failed and the parties like BSP, Samajwadi Party, RJD etc faced a rout. Similar was the fate of those parties which are dynasty based.
He said BJP has not only swept the election in its traditional support regions but has also significantly improved its votes percentage in such diverse regions like Tamil Nadu, Kerala, West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh and the Assembly elections in these states are going to create new history. The BJP Government at the Centre is going to fulfill the agenda of development and prosperity and ensure that the nation is given due respect by all the nations which is its due.
Jaitley said J&K is not a mere geography or political arena for BJP but is the battle ground of its ideology.
Jana Sangh’s first history chapter is connected and based on J&K and the prosperity and security of the State remains BJP ideological agenda.
This State needs employment, industry, tourism and infrastructure. The BJP has already asked the State Government to convert its outdoor and indoor stadium at Srinagar and Jammu into world class stadium, it has already sanctioned an IIT for Jammu and one IIM is already on cards for the Valley where it has also sanctioned setting up of Pashmina centre for its international marketing.  The BJP’s agenda is development, removal of regional imbalances, all round universal prosperity and irrespective of region, religion and caste.
Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda said that Booth committee Members have to fully devote themselves to their booth in order to achieve the desired number of votes and treat it as their effort to build a strong nation.  The BJP is active and marching forward in all the three regions of the State and has become a political force which has put other political parties in a state of disarray and panic. This time  BJP is fighting elections with a clear goal to govern the State and make it free from under development, unemployment, poverty and scarcity of day to day requirements viz electricity, portable water etc, he added.
Ram Lal in his address, said that the BJP wave in Ladakh and Kashmir valley has electrified the political climate in these regions and now is the turn of Jammu region to ensure complete defeat of NC, PDP and Congress.
BJP leaders Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta, Ashok Khajuria, Shamsher Singh Manhas, Ajay Jamwal, Ashok Koul, Sunil Sethi, Rashim Dhar Sood, Kavinder Gupta, Sat Sharma CA and Rajesh Gupta also shared the dais.
