KATHUA, July 11: J&K Pradesh Youth Congress held protest demonstration in Billawar against the   BJP- PDP Coalition and burnt the effigies of  Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Deputy Chief Minister Dr  Nirmal Singh today.
A large number  of   Youth Congress workers  under the leadership of  PYC president Pranav Shagotra assembled in Billawar town and held protest demonstration. They were shouting slogans against the Central and the State Governments.   The DyCM  has breached the trust and let down the people of Jammu in all respects. Farmers who have suffered heavy losses due heavy rains have not been compensated so far, only promises were made by the Deputy Chief Minister with the people. The fact remains that Dy Chief Minister doesn’t seem to be serious about addressing issues of Jammu people.
PYC chief said that Dy CM  and other BJP legislators were playing with the sentiments of the people. He said Jammu and Kashmir state is one and all the people should be treated equally. Referring to the recent Govt order about M.Ed, BEd, courses, he said there is discrimination everywhere and pointed out  M.ED, Bed course  in Kashmir which is only for one year and in Jammu it  has been declared for two years, which means students of Jammu have to study for two years. He said it is great discrimination on the part of State Govt . All the three regions must be treated equally and same treatment must be given to all, he said
PYC chief further said that our brother and sisters in Kashmir valley who opted for M.Ed, B. Ed courses are same for us and if there is a discrimination against  them,  in that case also PYC won’t remain  a silent spectator and will fight for their  rights. He sought answer from DyCM for not taking care of Jammuites in a manner he should do, where are the promises made  by him during  Election campaigning, he questioned.
PYC  leader warned top BJP leader and asked him to stop discrimination against Jammu people for the sake of power, or get ready to face the agitation, which is fraught with dangerous consequences for  him (DCM) and BJP.
