JAMMU, July 9: BJP has totally ignored Marh Assembly constituency during its Government in State and at Centre, alleged Ajay Sadhotra, senior National Conference (NC) leader.
Sadhotra was addressing a public meeting at Flora Harmakund, Marh.
He said that Marh area is facing acute development deficit under BJP rule and mentioned about Community Hall Halqa and Youth Sports Stadium Marh as work on these was allegedly not done.
The NC leader further said that farmers are facing shortage of irrigation water and in some of the villages poor farmers could not sow paddy.
He also highlighted acute power shortage in the area and said that same has hampered the sowing of paddy as farmers fail to use irrigation pump sets in the absence of electricity.
Sadhotra further talked about bad roads in Marh area and added that condition of Sub District Hospital Marh is also not good and there is shortage of doctors and medicines.
He further said that much hyped Back to Village programme proved futile exercise.
On this occasion Om Parkash Sharma along with hundreds of BJP workers joined NC and was welcomed by Sadhotra into the party.
