BJP Kashmir protests in front of CEO’s office

JAMMU, Nov 27: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Kashmir Displaced District today under the chairmanship of MLC, Ajay Bharti protested in front of the office of Chief Electoral Officer at Rail Head near here in which larger number of party supporters took part.
The protesters demanded displaced people be given the right to cast their vote in coming Panchayati elections and declare Panchayats in the migrant camps at Jagti, Nagrota, Purkhu and Muthi, so that the people residing in camps choose their representatives for development of the respective areas.
Further president BJP Kashmir Displaced District, Chand Jee Bhat demanded abolition of M-Forms required in the Assembly and Parliamentary elections so that displaced people vote without any unnecessary formalities during the elections and incorporate names of all the displaced persons in the Municipal Corporation voter list according to their Municipal Wards.
The Mahilla Wing of the BJP Kashmir Displaced District was led by Sweety Koul and its general secretary Neeru Zutshi and Dolly Raina. Yuva Morcha of the BJP Kashmir Displaced District was led by its general secretary, Kamal Warikoo and Sanjay Bhat.
Bharat Bushan Bhat Gosani, general secretary, all the Mandal presidents, Sunil Bhat, Makhan Lal Bhat, Vijay Raina, Raja Ji Tikko also took part in protest. Others who participated in the protest included B.L Razdan, Maharaj Krishan, Sanjay Bhat, Satish Zutshi, Arvind Bhat and others.
Meanwhile a delegation from Durga Nagar under the leadership of BJP Mandal president, M L Bhat called on Transport Commissioner at their office regarding the stoppage of matador service in Dogra Nagar and Durga Nagar.
This matador services were stopped due to unknown reasons which has generated a lot of resentment among the people of the area. The Commissioner issued instruction to concerned officers to restore the matador service in the area.
Satish Zutshi, Mohalla president, BJP, Neeru Ji youth president, Rahul Kaul and others were also in the delegation.
