JAMMU, Jan 24: General secretary BJP displaced district, Virender Kuchroo has expressed serious concern over the decision of Relief authorities asking the Kashmiri migrants to open their accounts in Jammu and Kashmir Bank.
In a statement issued here today Mr Kachroo said that there is a lot of resentment among the displaced people over the decision as they face many hardships in getting their accounts opened in JK Bank and people have to waste days together for completing the formalities in this regard.
He said the migrants getting a meager cash assistance can’t open the accounts in many banks. Moreover non availability of bank branches of J&K in their localities is also a problem for the aged and infirm people.
Mr Kuchroo said when during last 26 years the migrants were not asked to open accounts in J&K Bank why this time. He said the Relief authorities should revoke the decision as the displaced people are facing hardships in opening the accounts in the J&K Bank branches where the work load of the staff is already more.
