JAMMU, Aug 6: Former minister and senior National Conference leader, Ajay Sadhotra has alleged that BJP has betrayed the people of Jammu and specially the educated youth who were deprived of their share of jobs in various Govt departments.
Addressing a public meeting at Jaswan in Marh Sub Division today Sadhotra said that BJP Government at the Centre and the same party in the State are playing with the future of youth of the State. While campaigning for Parliament elections in 2014, BJP leadership had promised with youth that it will give two crore employment to them. It is unfortunate that instead of giving two crore employment, the youth are feeling deceived by the BJP leadership. Sense of deceit has housed the hearts and minds of common youth due to unemployment. This has created atmosphere of disenchantment and mistrust, he added.
Former Minister said 8th pass and above educated youth and even uneducated youth need to be given employment so that they get sense of belongingness by getting source of earning to make their both ends meet. He expressed grave concern over the non fulfillment of promises with the border dwellers. He said border people were promised 5 Marlas of plots at safer places to construct their houses so that they could shift to those safer places in case of shelling on the IB and LOC. It is unfortunate that BJP did not fulfill its promise and the border dwellers have been feeling totally deprived of their genuine requirement.
Sadhotra asked the Government to allot 5 marla plots to border dwellers without any delay. In another public meeting at Saharan, Sadhotra welcomed large number of PDP workers in the NC fold.
Those who spoke in meeting included Ashok Sharma, Bushan Sharma, Capt Kamal Chand, Bajeet Kaith, Ditta Ram, Prem Saini, Rajinder Sharma, BIndu Ex-Sarpanch, Sub Ghasita Ram, Lal Chand, Swaran Singh, Diler Ram Kaith, Gopal Sharma, Ashok Sharma, Bushan Sharma, Baljeet Kaith, Capt Kamal Chand and others.
