JAMMU, Apr 25: Yudhvir Sethi, J&K BJP vice president along with Parmodh Kapahi, district president and Dr Akshay Sharma, corporator Ward No 8 today kick-started development works of lanes, laying of tiles and drains at Old Rehari area of Jammu city.
The works will be completed with an estimated cost of Rs 37 lakhs. Coporator Ward No 9, Suneet Raina and president Mandal Amphalla, Raman Sharma were also preset.
Addressing the gathering, Yudhvir Sethi said that the Central Government has committed to provide world-class amenities to the people of Jammu and in the future, the City of Temples will be among the greenest and cleanest cities of the country. He said that for the last many years, the gates of development have opened for J&K which is evident from the fact that all the Centrally sponsored schemes and programmes like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, MUDRA, PM Ujjwala Yojana, Scholarship Schemes for Students, Welfare Schemes for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes are now implemented in J&K.
“The BJP Government at the Centre has granted adequate funds time to time for the overall development of Jammu so as this mission goes on, without any hindrance,” he said and assured that the liberal funding from the Centre will continue in the future.
Corporator, Dr Akshay said that several works are in the pipeline for the uplifting of this Ward and welfare of its people. The councillor said that he is working day and night to make his Ward a Model Ward so that other wards look up to it.
Later, the senior BJP leaders met with people of the area and listened to the grievances of people of the area and assured for their timely redressal.
