JAMMU, May 24: BJP State president Ravinder Raina, MP Lok Sabha Jugal Kishore Sharma, DyCM Kavinder Gupta, BJP State general secretary Dr Narinder Singh, Minister Sham Choudhary along with other social and political activists today visited the firing victims and made a round of affected areas.
Div Com, DC, IG, SSP along with other administration officials also accompanied the delegation. Brig. (Retd.) Suchet Singh and Parshotam Dadhichi were also present on the occasion.
The delegation attended the cremation of border firing victim and then proceeded to visit various camps set for the border residents who have been dislodged from their homes due to heavy shelling going on since days now. The visiting leaders enquired for the basic facilities in camps for the people and assured them of all possible help from the Government and administration.
Ravinder Raina, while visiting the camps, made a scathing attack on Pakistan and compared the neighbouring country with a “Plaque” for the entire world. He said that Pakistan’s policy will lead to its complete destruction. He said that these events have given uncalled tragedies to our peace loving border dwelling people but at the same time the brave Indian forces have inflicted heavy casualties on Pakistan’s side giving a befitting reply.
Jugal Kishore Sharma praised the brave people living on borders for their love for motherland. He said that although no one can compensate for the loss of precious lives, still the family has to be taken care of. He mentioned that BJP has ensured compensation of 1-5 lakh rupees for the victims and specifically earmarked 415.75 crore rupees for the construction of bunkers. He also said that soon the issue of 5 marla plots will be taken up with PM Narendra Modi to safeguard border residents.
Kavinder Gupta stated that the Government will look for the safe colonies having community halls, sheds etc. which will have all the basic and advanced facilities for the border residents. He said that the Government will ensure that in such circumstances, education and other essentials things do not suffer.
Brijeshwar Rana, Naresh Sharma, Kulbeer Charak, Bhushan Dogra, Sat Paul Pappi, Swaran Singh, Devinder Sharma and others were also present during the visit.
