BJP leaders visit Durbuk block, other areas of Leh

LEH, Nov 28: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders of Ladakh conducted a four -days tour of villages of Durbuk block of the district.
The team was led by party president, Tsering Dorjey Lakrook former MLA and ex CEC LAHDC, Leh. Its other members included Councilor LAHDC, Leh Dorjey Mutup, ex Executive Councilor, district president Dorje Angchuk, vice president Konchok Stanzin and secretary Tashi Namgyal Yakzee of the BJP’s Youth Wing.
They visited various villages schools and border area of Lalok Changthang region from November 24 to November 27.
In his statement after the concluding of the tour Tsering Dorjey Lakrook said total neglect of prestigious issues and developmental work in Durbuk block proved that Congress Party misled the people by promising Sub Division for Lalok region, unlimited jobs for the youth and by promising financial assistance during the fourth LAHDC elections.
He said it is unfortunate that after a gap of three years no developmental work has been done in the entire Lalok region. The BJP leaders assured the people of the region that they will take up these issues with concerned authorities.
The visiting team was informed by the staff at Higher Secondary School Tharuk that the solar power provided by Ladakh Renewable Energy Developmental Agency (LREDA) has initially worked but has developed a snag later.
The people in Shacukul village alleged that rich people were availing the benefits of the IY house programme and BPL ration cards. At Phobrang Yourgo and Lukung people demanded ambulance and opening of tourist trekking tour form Phobrang to Sko Valley.
