BJP led Govt sabotaged refugees package: Raj Babber

JAMMU, Dec 6: Congress leader and Cine Star Raj Babber today lambasted the BJP led Central Government for sabotaging the PoJK refugees’ compensation issue.
Addressing an election meeting in support of Congress candidate from Suchetgarh Assembly Segment at Badyal Brahmana today, he said that the refugees package was submitted to Centre after the Congress Party got it cleared from State Cabinet but unfortunately the BJP led Union Government sabotaged the same and returned it to State Government with some queries hitting the cause of lakhs of hapless PoJK refugees.
He also made a dig at Union Government on its failure in contain cross border terrorism and asked what happened to the claims of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to give a befitting reply to Pakistan.
Alleging BJP is pro rich Party, Raj Babber said that Union Government has slashed down the prices of Basmati rice which was sold at Rs 7000 a quintal to Rs 3000 a quintal now. This has shown that BJP is more concerned for the interests of rich tan the poor farmers.
R S Chib, Sobha Singh Choudhary, Mohinder Singh and Rashpal addressed the meeting.
While addressing the gathering RS Chib said,” Congress believes in philosophy that India”s unity lies in its diversity, but BJP believes in negative uniformity which is not possible because it contains an element of discard”. He said Congress is the party which ensure overall development and equivalent development in all the three regions of the State and will work for building a bond between the three regions to keep the State united. “People should vote for Congress and by doing so they will be strengthening the India”s unity, brotherhood and justice”, Chib said.
