SAMBA, May 20: JKPCC Working President and Congress contesting candidate from Jammu-Reasi Parliamentary seat Raman Bhalla today claimed that BJP Government has lost ground and in several states BJP’s seats are declining and in the entire country, the situation is turning against them.
Continuing his campaign, the Congress leader today visited to various places of District Samba including Panchayats Nandpur, Jarda, Dugh, Ramghar, Phakri, Saunara and Vijaypur.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhalla exhorted the public to throw the BJP-led alliance from power, and with it, Modi’s ‘dictatorship.’
“History is witness, whenever there has been a revolution in the country, it has started from the brave land of J&K. The campaign to end the dictatorship from this country should begin from J&K,” he said and added that he was sure of a clean sweep in J&K and ultimate victory of the I.N.D.I.A. bloc.
Referring to the BJP manifesto, Bhalla said all of Modi’s ‘guarantees’ are fake.
“Earlier, a guarantee was given by them that Rs 15 lakh will be deposited in every person’s account, also of giving two crore jobs every year but they never came good on those guarantees,” he said and asked the public to repose their faith in Congress Guarantee.
Commenting on the tenure of the BJP govt in J&K, Bhalla said instead of asking for votes, the party should seek forgiveness of the public.
“Instead of making empty speeches, the Government should look at the statistics that show the BJP turned the most prosperous State in the country, before 2014, to backward state in J&K,” he said.
He criticized J&K government for increasing poverty, unemployment, and debt and questioned the Government’s performance and impact on the public, demanding accountability and justifications for the state’s issues.
Bhalla lashed out at BJP for the sufferings of the people as he said Jammu region suffered under the ten years of BJP regime.
He said Dogras lost their identity and rights to land, jobs, trade and resources which are being taken over by outside people leaving locals high & dry.
The congress leader further appealed to the people to vote for change and uproot the dictatorial regime of BJP.
“The people’s participation in large numbers shows the mood of the people and claimed that both Lok Sabha seats of Jammu and Udhampur will be pocketed by the Congress party with thumping majority. The people have made up their mind to bring about change at the Centre and Modi Govt. will go after elections and INDIA block will form the Govt.,” he added.
