JAMMU, June 23: A meeting was organized today by the BJP Mahila Morcha regarding upcoming membership drive. The meeting was chaired by the president of the Morcha Rajni Sethi.
The in-charge of the membership drive Jugal Dogra and co incharge Priya Sethi were present on the occasion. The stage was conducted by State general secretary, Shailza Gupta.
The meeting which discussed the strategy to raise the fresh female membership level to one lakh was attended by all state office bearers, district, presidents and all State Executive members.
The membership drive would start from July 6 all over India and special week was given to Mahila Morcha from July 14 to July 21. All the districts have been given a target of enrolling 5000 female members each, the meeting was informed.
Vote of thanks was proposed by State general secretary, Updesh Andotra and welcome speech was given by another State general secretary, Sanchita Dogra.
Priya Sethi in her address said that Mahila Morcha has to achieve the target in stipulated time and show that women don’t lag behind in men in setting the target. She said Morcha has to take every step for empowerment of the women in the State.
Rajni Sethi while addressing the meeting said that the female membership of the BJP is the largest in the world. She said women constitute a substantial force in the party and India would emerge as a significant women power in the world.
State general secretary, Sanchita Dogra also spoke in the meeting.
