JAMMU, Feb 15: Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mahila Morcha led by its president, Sanjita Dogra, held a protest at Kachi Chawni, against the alleged sexual exploitation by Trinamool leaders in West Bengal’s Sandeshkhali.
Sanjita Dogra, while condemning the inhuman acts, said that women in West Bengal are not safe and feel insecure to move freely and carry out their day to day activities in a peaceful atmosphere when Mamta Banerjee is in chair. She said that West Bengal has a woman as Chief Minister but unfortunately the women are not safe there.
She added that the Sandeshkhali incident has shocked the nation as women from Sunderbans have been exploited sexually by the Trinamool leaders. She demanded a thorough probe and stern action against the culprits for such acts.
Anita Gandotra (JKUT vice – president ), Neha Mahajan and Reema Padha JKUT general secretaries , Poonam Gupta, Neeru Anand, Meenakshi Jamwal, Anu Bhasin, Arti Koul, Monica Khosla, Chakshu, Bharti, Bindu, Meena Kumari, were prominent among those who took part in the protest.
