We brought new political culture: Rekha

JAMMU, Oct 27: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) district Jammu South, Mandal Gadigarh held a workshop on its primary membership drive (Sangathan Parv) in Gadigarh Mandal of RS Pura constituency near here today. The BJP Sadayasta Abhiyaan was held in the presence of party national secretary and MLA RS Pura constituency, Dr Narinder Singh, BJP district president Jammu South, Rekha Mahajan, Seh Prabhari Jammu South, Dev Raj Sharma, senior leader, Ashok Khajuria and district Jammu South convener, for ‘Sangathan Parv’ Rohin Chandan.
The workshop was organised under the presidentship of Mandal president Gadigarh, Vijay Sharma.
While addressing the party activists, Dr. Narinder Singh stated that BJP is not an election machine but a medium for fulfilling the aspirations of the people and the party’s membership drive is not a mere number game but an ideological and emotional movement. He said 61 percent of those who joined the party so far during the ongoing membership drive are below 35 years of age throughout India.
Dr. Narinder Singh said educated youth are joining the BJP in large numbers after the Prime Minister’s call. He also said Prime Minister, Narendra Modi wanted professionals to enter politics with new thinking, adding such a move will give new direction to the nation.
He asked party cadres to work effectively for the party’s 2024 membership drive ‘Sangathan Parv, Sadasyata Abhiyan 2024’ by renewing his membership and urged party workers to make special efforts to connect with the youth.
Rekha Mahajan said “This very membership drive isn’t just a ritual. It’s an expansion of our family. It isn’t a game of numbers. It doesn’t matter what numbers we achieve. This membership drive is an ideological and emotional movement,” she added. Rekha Mahajan said from the days of Bharatiya Jana Sangh till now, “we have made all possible efforts to bring a new political culture in the country”. She said the BJP is the only political party that is following the democratic process properly.
Dev Raj Sharma thoroughly explained the online procedure of membership in the BJP. He said that it is primarily through dialing the mobile number 8800002024. He said that membership can also be attained by logging in, scanning the QR code and through offline mode in areas with low connectivity.
Rohin Chandan provided the introduction of the ‘Sangathan Parv’.
