JAMMU, Nov 26: Accusing the BJP Ministers of demonstrating political cowardice in the face of the most pernicious policy of appeasement of separatists and subversives being pursued by its ally, Harsh Dev Singh, chairman JKNPP and former Minister today sought the review of the Government decision to release 4500 stone pelters of the Valley.
Terming the offence of stone pelters as heinous, he said that they were the people who had stoned, slapped, manhandled, humiliated, heckled, taunted and jeered the Indian security forces at the behest of anti-national forces. He said that it was ironical that BJP which had all along opposed the stone pelters while in opposition by dubbing them as anti-national and Pak agents had taken a U turn even with respect to the issues which pertained to the very security of the State.
He was addressing a meeting of Young Panthers convened in Jammu today.
Accusing the BJP of having lost the nerve and guts to persist with its professed slogans and nationalist cause, Singh said that its Ministers were reduced to mere rubber stamps in the hands of an all powerful Mehbooba Mufti. Having failed to espouse the cause of Jammu for which they were voted to power, the said BJP leaders were acting as postal messengers of Mehbooba Mufti and shamelessly endorsing the separatist agenda of Kashmir centric forces. Not only were the stone pelters being released, but it had been reported in pursuance of an RTI reply, that GoI had given up the proposal of townships for Kashmiri migrants, he regretted.
“Earlier the State Government declined a holiday on 23rd September, the birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh only to keep the fringe element of Kashmir in good humour while the issue of deportation of Rohingyas who had been described as grave security threat and ‘ticking time bombs’ has also been thrown into the dustbin due to pressure of anti-national forces operative in the State,” Harsh maintained.
Those, who were present in the meeting, included Gagan Pratap, Pratap Singh, Rajesh Sharma, Rakesh Sharma and others.
