JAMMU, Mar 9: In view of the Government’s decision to open registration of the people from Kashmir has virtually opened flood gates resulting in mass exodus of the people particularly the Sikh minority people to get themselves registered as  migrants with the Relief Commissioner Jammu, a team of BJP Minority Morcha office bearers of district Jammu led by its Jammu district president Randhir Singh Bali met the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner Jammu, Y P Suman  to unravel the truth regarding the registration.
Relief Commissioner informed the delegation that the registration had been opened only for the three category people. One who have real threats with FIRs registered. Second who have militant related killings in the family and third who are the surrendered militants. R.S.Bali president requested the Relief Commissioner Jammu to stop the petition writers and others who have opened their shops in the precincts of the Relief Commissioner Office and are selling the registration documents to the gullible people at exorbitant rates.
He also lodged complaint with the Relief Commissioner regarding the difficulties being faced by the already registered Sikhs in getting cards bifurcated, issuance of State Subject Certificate, Backward Certificate and other related issues to which Relief Commissioner assured the delegation that he will issue strict instructions to the staff that no migrant is harassed by his staff. After meeting with the Relief Commissioner Jammu a large crowd of the Sikhs assembled outside his office seeking registration. While addressing the gathering Minority Morcha District President R.S.Bali urged them not to fall prey to unscrupulous elements.  He  appealed to all the Sikhs living in Kashmir to stay back at their places and not to think of migration as this would be against the policy of the State BJP who is inclined to rehabilitate the already migrated people to Kashmir with honour and dignity.
He further said that Sikhs are living in Kashmir with their Muslim brothers in peaceful and cordial atmosphere since centuries and are equally sufferers along with Muslims during the present Kashmir turmoil. They should not think of migration. Among others who met the Relief Commissioner were Charan Singh, Vice President Minority Morcha, Chanan Singh,  Baljit Singh, Kulvir Singh.
