BJP Morcha, Sikh Intellectuals call on Chairman Minority Commission

JAMMU, Dec 22: Deputation comprising prominent leaders of J&K BJP Minority Morcha met Iqbal Singh Lalpura Chairman for Minority Commission , Government of India.
Many issues regarding the problems faced by Sikh community for a very long time were discussed especially on Punjabi language and establish Minority Commission in JK UT and others minorities issue.
Iqbal Singh Lalpura assured that all genuine issues will be addressed and quick action will be taken in this regard.
Prominent leaders who were present were H S Pammy senior BJP leader, R S Nalwa, BJP State president Minority Morcha, Santokh Singh, retired SSP Bhupinder Singh, Sucha Singh, Rajinder Singh Raju and others. They also submitted a memorandum of demands to him.
Another deputation of All J&K PoJK 1947 Sharnarthi Intellectual Forum under the presidentship of Amrik Singh and Surjit Singh its secretary met Iqbal Singh Lalpura Chairman of All India Minority Commission and submitted a charter of demands related to Sikh community to him.
The deputation demanded J&K Sikhs be given minority status, proper rehabilitation of PoJK 1947 displaced persons and registration of their leftover property in PoJK and release of their comprehensive package of balance amount of Rs 24.50 lakh, according the Punjabi as official language and in J&K State like other local languages, nomination of a Sikh member in J&K Public Service Commission and Service Selection Board an educated and honest Sikh member be appointed as member of State Minority Commission for J&K to giving proper representation to J&K Sikhs and implementation of Wadhwa Commission report in toto.
The Chairman listened the Forum and assured to look into all the demands sympathetically and will be also put up before the Union Government for its positively consideration.
The members who participated included Kuldeep Singh vice president, Nasib Singh, Jagjit Singh, Manjit Singh and others.
