BILLAWAR, Jan 3: Former minister and senior Congress leader Dr Manohar Lal Sharma today said BJP and it’s leadership must stop false propaganda and make people fools.
While reacting to the recent statement by BJP state president in which he said that next Chief Minister of J&K will be from BJP, Sharma lambasted BJP by saying that they have old habits of making false promises, playing emotionally with sentiments and showing false hopes to the common masses. He said last time also BJP played on communal lines by promising that the CM of J&K will be from Jammu division but once they came to power they betrayed the mandate of people and made complete u- turn on their pre- poll promises just for lust of chair.
He further said that during previous elections BJP allured the common masses of state and the country by doing promises like abrogation of article 370, article 35A, 2 crores employment, 5 Marla’s plots to the border people affected from cross border firing, Rs 15 lakhs to each citizen, Ek Vidhan Ek Nishan and many more but once they came to power they took u- turn from said promises.
Sharma lambasted previous BJP- PDP coalition and alleged that it failed on all the fronts in the State. He said people of the state have understood the nefarious and hollow slogans of BJP and they will teach BJP a lesson in upcoming elections as they are deeply hurt and betrayed by BJP for letting them down for sake of power.
