BJP neglecting public issues, unemployed youth disappointed: NC

JAMMU Feb 23: National Conference Provincial president for Jammu, Rattan Lal Gupta said that BJP is bound to face setbacks in all upcoming polls in J&K as the Government under its ambit has been callously neglecting the significant issues being confronted by different sections of society.
While interacting with the media-persons, senior NC leader maintained that BJP led Centre and its proxy rule in Jammu and Kashmir has remained phlegmatic over the important issues being faced by the public including the Saffron party’s hardcore supporters leading to disillusionment of all as what was promised has not been delivered and the chances are also bleak that the Government will change its course listening to common man’s plight.
Elaborating unattended issues Gupta said that despite number of rounds of talks and discussion, and promises, the disgruntled daily wagers are struggling for their demands and protesting but the Government is nonchalant as if it has nothing to do with this section comprising thousands of individuals and their families. He termed the situation as the Government’s cruel joke with the hapless worker community.
He raised the issue of lakhs of youths wasting their youthful days in dilemma as the Government has no concrete policy to ensure safe career to this segment as under the incumbent but incapable Government, the future of these educated unemployed youths is likely to perish. He said over 7 lakh deserving unemployed youth is presently longing for jobs in J&K but the Government has failed to complete recruitment process.
He asserted that the future of youth is bleak in Jammu and Kashmir due to hollow and anti- youth policies of present Government. He mentioned that those serving on Academic arrangement in the Schools/ Higher Education Department till date the govt has failed to regularize them since they have been serving for the last more than 15 to 20 years which is unjustified and against the norms of natural justice.
Gupta highlighted the scarcity of drinking as well as irrigation water in many areas of Jammu city/region which lately has become a big problem as the present Government has no plans to counter the same.
