JAMMU, Dec 22: BJP organised various awareness programmes on Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) here, today.
An awareness programme was organised at Jammu East by former MLA, Rajesh Gupta where the main speaker was former Dy.CM, Kavinder Gupta, State general secretary, BJP Dr. Narinder Singh, senior journalist, Sohail Kazmi, Buearau Chief, Times Now, Pardeep Dutta, Chief Bureau India First, Tajmul Hussain, Advocate Shehzad Malik, Adv.Maninder Kapoor and district president, BJP, Viney Gupta.
Former Deputy CM, Kavinder Gupta while speaking on the occasion said that the CAA is in the interest of all those minorities who face religious persecution in the countries like Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh and has nothing to do with the citizens of India. He said that opposition like Congress and Leftists are spreading lies and canards against the Act but the Muslim community has seen through their game plan.
General secretary, Narinder Singh said that the CAA is going to provide great relief to all those minorities of Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh who face religious persecution in these countries. He said that India is the natural homeland for all these people because they have nowhere else to go. Modi Government has done a great service to these persecuted people who have suffered immense tragedies in these countries.
Sohail Kazmi and Pradeep Dutta also dwelt in detail about the finer nuances of the CAA Bill and said that the protests witnessed in the streets of the country is stage managed and a certain section of intelligentia and opposition is leading this campaign. This Bill has its genesis at the time of Congress Government when former Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh himself supported its implementation. The opposition today by the Congress is purely to mislead the innocent and gullible Muslim community.
Rajesh Gupta who organized today’s function said that his constituency has a significant Muslim population and they have always stood by the BJP Government and they understand that this Bill is in the interest of the nation and it has nothing to do with the Muslims of India.
In connection with Party’s campaign for Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) BJP Unit of Jammu West organized an intellectual’s seminar at Bakshi Nagar area of the Assembly segment.
The program was mainly addressed by MP Rajya Sabha, Shamsher Singh Manhas and former Minister and ex-MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma (CA). The program was organized under the leadership of district president, Munish Khajuria.
Speaking on the occasion, Shamsher Singh Manhas lambasted the callous approach of Congress and other opposition parties and said that opposition is only trying to spread lies and hatred amongst the masses and everything they are doing is only to deteriorate the peace and harmony amongst all religions. He stated that the false agenda spread by Congress against CAA will not bear any results and today people have also realized that only Central Government under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi is capable to bring such revolutionary reforms which will take our nation to global heights.
Sat Sharma said that the CAA does not have any impact on other minority religions of our country and it helps those people who were living as minorities in neighboring countries and were facing persecution. He also stated that historical decisions which were pending since independence including Construction of Ram Mandir, Article 370, Tripple Talaq were taken under the regime of Narendra Modi Government and CAA is also part of those historical decisions which will unite our country.
