KUPWARA, May 3: In a bid to rope in more people from frontier Kupwara district in BJP’s Maha Samparak Abhiyan, a workshop for party activists was organized here today.
Vice-chairman, Samparak Abhiyan, Kupwara, Ishfaq-ur-Rehman Poswal, presided over the workshop.
Poswal highlighted the purpose of holding Samparak Abhiyan across the district and urged activists to work for the welfare of people. He said that health camps will be organized in a couple of days in Kupwara and awareness spread about the Samparak Abhiyan.
“It is Narendar Modi’s vision that people especially from far-off villages should join the Abhiyan. I am optimistic that more people will understand his vision and come to join the movement. BJP chief Amit Shah’s vision is to reach out distressed people for help through this Abhiyan,” he added.
Gujjar and Bakerwals including the women turned up in large numbers to attend the workshop. Abdul Rehman Lone, chairman Samparak Abhiyan urged people to join the movement and strengthen the party in frontier district.
G M Mir, vice president, BJP Kashmir, inaugurated the workshop and asked the people to strengthen the party roots in Kupwara for collective benefit of society.
“The State BJP fully supports Poswal in his endeavours to strengthen the party base in Kupwara through Abhiyan,” added Mir.
BJP candidates, Abdul Rashid Zargar and MM War, who had fought elections from Lolab and Langate also addressed the activists.
Prominent among those, who attended the workshop include Duryaman Deddar, Raji Wali Kalas, Yaseen Kalas and Siraj Din Kalas.
