JAMMU : The State unit of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and National Panthers Party (NPP) today staged walkout of the State Assembly demanding resolution on Duggar Channel.
Amid shouts, the BJP and JKNPP MLAs were demanding starting of Duggar Channel on the pattern of Kashmir and Ladakhi channels. They alleged that Dogra culture is being ignored by the Government and demanded starting of Duggar Channel.
CPI (M) leader Mohammad Yousuf also advocated the demand and said Dogri is one of the major languages of the State so ‘Duggar Channel’ shall be started soon.
“There should not be any regional discrimination as all languages belong to the State and reflects traditional ethos of the people,” he added.
Meanwhile demanding resolution on starting of Duggar Channel, the BJP and JKNPP members later staged walkout of the House. (AGENCIES)
