BJP, PDP should clear stand on Art 35A: MLC

KISHTWAR, Aug 30: Senior NC leader and party MLC from Kishtwar Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo today said that BJP and PDP should clear their stand on Article 35-A of the constitution.
While addressing party workers today Kichloo said  both the parties are befooling the people of this State by raising such controversial issues. They are playing hide and seek with them.   He said the coalition partners PDP and BJP are not on the same page over the issue. They must clear their  stand on infringement of special rights enjoyed by the people of this State.
The NC leader said that BJP and PDP are trying to bring the people face to face on religious issues. He pointed out that  Article 35-A is not the issue of Hindus and Muslims or Jammu verses Kashmir. He said that Article 35-A guaranteed equal rights to people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. He said that NC  has taken the responsibility to educate the people about the pros and cons of Article 35-A so that any attempt to abrogate Article 35-A could be jointly resisted.
He urged the people to defeat the ill will designs of the communal forces who wants to divide the people on communal lines by trying to weaken the state subject laws. He said that the move to abrogate Article 35 A of the Constitution of India is to give benefits to leading industrialist of India who are eyeing the land in Jammu and Kashmir for establishment of business units which will make direct impact on the jobs of poor.
Kichloo further claimed that people will come on the roads to defend the citizens rights. He said that abrogation of Article 35 A will make direct impact on jobs in the State.  He said that his party will not allow anyone to encroach upon the land, jobs and other rights of people of the State.
Several senior leaders  Tanveer Kichloo, Younas Kichloo, Qazi-  Jal-ud-Din, Ghulam Qadir Malik, Th Prathvi  Singh, Abdul Majeed  Shah, Ashwani Kumar and others attended the meeting.
