He said that the seething anger among the daily wagers could soon explode like a catastrophe and take an ugly turn.
Drawing the attention of the State dispensation towards the miserable plight of teaching fraternity all across the State, Harsh Dev divulged that the salaries of RETs, teachers and masters engaged under SSA and RMSA remained unpaid for months together. He added that the master promotees (2014) of Jammu region were running from pillar to post for their adjustment.
Highlighting the grave concerns of SPO’s working in Police Department, Harsh Dev Singh revealed that as many as 25,000 SPOs across the State have been drawing a negligible honorarium till date despite the tall pronouncements made by the Ministry of Home Affairs, regarding the enhancement of their salaries under the Security Related Expenditure (SRE). Maintaining that several SPO’s have been rendering their services for more than 10-15 years in stringent and life threatening conditions, Singh vociferously advocated the enhancement of their salary to Rs 10,000 per month, besides regularization of their services.
