JAMMU, Dec 14: Former Congress Minister and MLC, R S Chib who is contesting on Congress ticket from R S Pura Assembly segment today called PDP and BJP as two sides of same coin.
Terming both PDP and BJP a threat to the integrity of the State, Chib addressed series of public meetings at border villages of Sai Kalan, Sai Khurd, Badyal Qazia, Iqbal, Vyaspur Parla and Kotli Gala Bana in R S Pura constituency.
He said on the one hand BJP is trying to communalize people of Jammu region, on the other PDP is leaving no stone unturned to capture the Kashmiri sentiments using political gimmicks.
Chib said no party is focusing on the overall integrity of the State as a whole and hence both the parties are threat to the integrity as well as the unity of the State.
“Congress has a long history of serving the downtrodden as well as the weaker sections of the society as majority of the public welfare schemes like Mid-Day Meal scheme, Rajiv Awas Yojana, Food security bill were passed under the Congress regime in the centre,” former Minister expressed.
Chib added that it was Congress Government in the State that made a full fledge package for the refugees who have settled in the border areas of Jammu for their permanent settlement and rehabilitation whereas the BJP has deceived the Refugees by rejecting the same.
He appealed people to vote in large and strengthen the roots of democracy in the State and ensure the election of Congress Government for the holistic development of all sections and regions of the State.
