JAMMU, Apr 24: Exposing the double speak and double game played by the BJP over patriotism and nationalism, the chief patron of Jammu Kashmir People’s Front (JKPF), Satish Poonchi, said that the pseudo nationalism and patriotism of BJP has been exposed as it has joined hands for power with those political parties, which are extending support to the militants working against the country.
While addressing a press conference, Poonchi said that people of State as well people of country are in morass as the BJP has betrayed mandate, which it has got over nationalism and patriotism. He said that BJP was crying about nationalism and patriotism but only for power lust they joined hands with PDP, Akali Dal and now is going to joining hand with Jayalalitha of Tamil Nadu.
He said that PDP which is of considered view that the Parliament attackers Afzal Guru is a martyr as he (Afzal) laid life for the independence. He said that on the one hand the BJP was opposing the PDP over Afzal Guru issue but because of its power shamelessly joined hands with it (PDP), which is not in favour of nationalism.
Mentioning about the alliance with Akali Dal, he said that Akali Dal often openly supported the Punjab militancy. On BJP’s alliance with Jayalalitha in Tamil Nadu, he said that Jayalalitha is supporting the assassinators of late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, which itself speaks in volume that BJP is indirectly supporting the anti-nationalism in the support.
He further said that BJP shared Government in J&K has arrested those, who unfurled the national flag in Kashmir, which is matter of serious concern. Poonchi said that BJP should come clean over these anti-national concerns, so that people may know about the hidden intention of the so called nationalist party.
