KULGAM, Nov 23: J&K Pradesh Congress Committee president Vikar Rasool Wani has said that BJP has been indulging in falsehood and promotion of hate politics in the country in order to divert people’s attention from its failures for the sake of power.
Addressing party convention at Valtengo in Devsar area of Kulgam today, PCC chief blamed BJP Govt for the losses caused to J&K due to the wrong policies adopted by it (BJP) while having failed people miserably on developmental, economic, employment and various other fronts. Wani said the developmental process initiated in J&K by UPA-I and UPA-II is nowhere to be seen. What the people of J&K got under BJP Rule only unemployment, lack of development, unprecedented price hike on essentials, hardships etc which has made the living condition of common people more pathetic, he added.
Referring to the democratic institutions in the Country, Wani said the institutions benefitting people and safeguarding their rights are being targeted one after another aiming to suppress the genuine voices whilst the politics of hate and division are being promoted by the BJP for the sake of remaining in power, Wani added.
JKPCC president took the opportunity of workers’ convention to make a fervent appeal to people of the country to rise to the occasion to defeat the nefarious designs of BJP- RSS, who are responsible for the intolerance and promotion of religious and hate politics in the country.
JKPCC President said Congress has united the country and people of all shades as well, it will continue to work for the development, employment generation and redressal of issues concerning people, besides it will continue to fight for restoration of democratic process in J&K, which is being delayed under a well-planned strategy on the part of BJP.
On this occasion JKPCC President also laid emphasizes over strengthening the Party at grass roots.
Senior Congress leaders, Ghulam Nabi Monga (Ex-MLC) and Mohd Anwar Bhat also addressed the convention and laid emphasizes over unity and working together for the benefit of common people.
DCC president Farooq Ahmad Bhat, senior leaders Fayaz Ahmed Dar and Amanullah Matoo also addressed the convention.
