Srinagar, Dec 10: Kashmir unit of ruling Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) today staged a protest against National Conference president Farooq Abdullah over him extending support to Hurriyat Conference recently.
Nearly a dozen workers of BJP appeared in press enclave here and raised slogans against the NC president and burnt the effigy of Farooq Abdullah. Stating that Farooq’s supporting statement was unfortunate, the BJP workers said it reflects the continuos hypocrisy of the NC stalwart.
On the occasion, State Secretary of BJP, Ali Muhammad Mir, asked Farooq to explain the reason that compelled National Conference for such “provoking statement”. Another BJP worker said that people of Kashmir are “aware of deceit, double speak and double standards of Abdullah dynasty” and “that present crisis is the creation of the Abdullah-led leadership”.
