SAMBA, Nov 14: Former Minister and senior BJP leader, Surjeet Singh Slathia today highlighted the focused initiatives taken in Jammu and Kashmir post 2019 to restore peace and take development to the next level, saying these have rekindled hope and sense of confidence among the people.
“Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s Mission J&K is getting translated into reality and the BJP is committed to ensure last person in the society getting equal share in the process of development”, Slathia said while addressing the Karykarts as part of the party’s “Booth Jan Samvad” at here this afternoon.
Slathia said the huge transformation witnessed across the Union Territory has generated positivity and optimism among the people about better times to come. The young people are particularly registering new milestones in every field, be it sports, academics, career progression or entrepreneurship by way of startups.” Mission Modi has been to ensure welfare of the people by creating an atmosphere of peace and stability wherein every segment of society gets equitable opportunities to progress and prosper”, he said, adding that the Prime Minister has been relentlessly endeavouring to create an enabling situation for the people, who have undergone difficult times for decades due to misgovernance and the various other challenges.
He said the first priority in such a grim situation was to restore peace and normalcy which became possible due to strong support of the people, finally leading to unprecedented forward movement on economic and developmental fronts. The results are discernible as the people are now deriving the dividends of peace, he added.
Slathia exuded confidence that under the BJP, all the regions and sub regions of Jammu and Kashmir will grow as vibrant units with opportunities of progress to all, without any discrimination or any favour of appeasement.
The former Minister and senior BJP leader referred to strides made especially in the past over four years in implementing various schemes and welfare programmes with missionary zeal, saying these have resulted in the growth of every section of the society.
