JAMMU, July 23: On the occasion of Balidan Diwas of Kuldeep Verma, the martyr of Shree Amarnath Ji land row struggle in 2008 Bharatiya Janata Party, paid rich tributes to him at party Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar.
BJP State president Ravinder Raina (MLA), along with State vice-president, Pawan Khajuria, State general secretary, Yudhvir Sethi, former Minister, Sham Choudhary and other senior leaders paid tributes to the great martyr.
Ravinder Raina, while paying glowing tributes to the hero of Amarnath land struggle, said that the agitation of 2008 was a reflection of hurt sentiments of the common masses. He said that the outburst of the people from Jammu was a necessity due to the continued biased mindset towards the issues by the persons sitting at the helm of affairs.
He said that the people were forced to come on streets and start a massive agitation against the then political dispensation whose decision provoked them to take to streets for 59 long days to fight for a great cause. He said that the historic agitation also proved that the people of Jammu know how to brave and stand against a threat to their integration.
