BJP responsible for selective killings in Kashmir: Krishna

JAMMU, June 8: Senior Indian Youth Congress leader and in-charge J&K, Krishna Allavaru today alleged that BJP Government is responsible for selective killings in Kashmir.
Krishna, who headed a State executive meeting of the Youth Congress in Jammu today as part of the Congress party’s Chintan Shivir said that minorities are being gunned down in Kashmir to create terror among them. The ruling Government in Delhi has failed to protect the lives of the innocents. BJP has lost the moral right to govern the J&K UT, the IYC leader said.
Krishna Allavaru strongly condemned the incidents of selective killings happening in Kashmir and the death of Sidhu Moosewala and flagged security concerns that should be immediately looked into.
He further demanded a compensation from the Government for the affected families and kin of those killed in these incidents in Kashmir. He also sought strong security arrangements to be put in place to protect the employees who are currently staying in vulnerable areas in J&K and to mobilise them to safer areas to prevent such tragedies. He said that all people should be protected against such acts of terrorism at all costs.
JKPCC president Ghulam Ahmad Mir, working president Raman Bhalla, vice-president Mula Ram, former minister Yogesh Sawhney, general secretaries Manmohan Singh and SS Channi were present in the meeting.
State Youth Congress president Uday Bhanu Chib along with office bearers of the Youth Congress participated in the meeting.
A two-minute silence was observed in the presence of Krishna Allavaru as a mark of respect and condolence for the deceased in the selective killings that have happened in J&K and for the brutal killing of Congress leader and singer Sidhu Moosewala.
AICC joint secretary then discussed structural issues within the party and stated that the party must strengthen it’s organizational infrastructure, starting from the ground level and the booth-level and work our way up. He added that booth-level committees will be formed and those who perform well and in the favour of the party and the public will be encouraged and promoted.
