JAMMU, Oct 20: Former minister and senior Congress leader Dr Manohar Lal Sharma has alleged that BJP was solely responsible for increasing anger of the people of the country against present Modi regime.
In a press statement issued here today, the PCC leader said that there was a lot of public anger seen against BJP Government both in the State as well as in the country. He said that the wrong and anti- people polices of BJP Govt are responsible for rising public anger against the Government.
Dr Sharma said it is very unfortunate that the BJP and his leadership do not believe on doing something for welfare of public in order to address their genuine problems. He said that the BJP is not working to solve even day to day problems faced by the people of the nation. He said that the BJP is wasting time by discussing and deviating on non- public issue to divert intention of public from real issues. He said that the BJP always plays with the sentiments of the public of the nation instead of doing something for their welfare.
The Congress leader said that the BJP and its leadership always raised issues about the development of the country and criticized the UPA Govt but after assuming power they have forgotten the same and are now debating and discussing over non-public issues. He said that the public of the country is intelligent enough to understand the hidden agenda of the BJP to divert their attention from their failure.
Dr Sharma said that there are a number of publican issues that have to be addressed by any popular Government like poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, continuously downgrading trend of the GDP in the present regime, corruption, rise in crime against women, militancy, no check on wasteful administrative expenditure (like advertisements), unprecedented price rise and mal-administration.
Former MLA Billawar alleged that Modi Govt has failed on every front including in deliverance and governance. He said that the people of the country and the State feel disheartened by the BJP. He advised the BJP to introspect and not to play with the sentiments of the people.
