BJP rule would go down as darkest chapter in Jammu’s history: Harsh

JAMMU, Mar 25: Accusing BJP of  compromising over all its professed promises as well as Jammu based issues for the crumbs of power, JKNPP chairman and former Minister Harsh Dev Singh today alleged that the BJP has inflicted multiple dents upon Dogra pride which would require Herculean efforts to straighten the same.
“Having exploited the gullibility of the Jammu people during the elections, it abandoned not only its age old philosophy and fundamentals but took a complete U turn over all its election time promises merely for the loaves of power,” regretted Harsh Dev Singh while addressing  a  public meeting at Manhas Sabha in  Paloura, Jammu today.
“The surrenders of BJP would shock the progeny.  Its rule would go down the generations as the darkest chapter in Jammu’s history. And surrender though unforgettable may still fade a bit in our minds and hearts but hurting our ego and self pride is a memory that would refuse to die down”, he rued.
Alleging that separatists are pampered while our soldiers and brave hearts are stoned, humiliated, slapped and jeered, the JKNPP chairman rued that our national symbols are openly treated with contempt. “Those who sing songs in praise of Pakistan are granted immunity while the innocent people of Jammu seeking their fundamental rights are assaulted, arrested and intimidated. Is it not the time to introspect for we the people of Jammu? Let’s unite and fight for restoring our lost glory and pride”, he roared.
Harsh Dev Singh regretted that three year rule has completely exploded the myth of BJP’s bravado with people including their hard core supporters repenting their decision.
Urging upon the people to oppose and depose the BJP for its skullduggery and betrayal, he said that JKNPP alone had the capacity and will to confront the Kashmir centric forces and to realise the dreams of people of Jammu region.
Seeking people’s support, Singh said that fight for Jammu shall be taken to its logical conclusion, come what may.
Prominent among those who spoke on the occasion, included Manju Singh, Paramjit Marshall, Gagan Pratap Singh, Neeraj Gupta, Parshotam Parihar, Jeevan Sharma, Satvir Singh Manhas, Deewan Singh, Suresh Sharma, Kartik and others.
