JAMMU, June 14: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee has termed the BJP’s Jammu Samvad rally today a flop show as it turned out to be only highlighting the fulfillment of party agenda about Art 370, but did not discuss the growing resentment over several post abrogation actions adversely affecting the people especially the youth of the region.
JKPCC Chief Spokesperson said that the Defence Minister also failed to send a loud and clear signal to hostile neighbours, who are flexing muscles and transgressed deep into the Indian territory, giving worst provocations. It was expected that he would reiterate the often repeated pledge that every inch of our territory shall be retrieved besides asserting to bring back PoJK. But he twice repeated that country’s armed strength is for self defence only and not to terrorise any country.

Party regretted that none of local BJP leaders and speakers raised the demands of public especially youth of Jammu and the need for promised job opportunities in the UT and Central services besides Para Forces as well as private sectors, as committed by them from time to time.
The leaders indulged in the praises but did not raise the plight of the local youth besides PoJK Displaced people apart from border residents who are becoming soft targets on regular bases as around 3300 incident of border shelling were recorded last year while around, 1500 this year in less than five months. The border residents were promised five marlas plot in safer zones while the a vast population in still without bunkers but have been waiting for same to be fulfilled, JKPCC said.
The PoJK displaced people were promised 30 lakh per family against which only 5.50 lakh were sanctioned, that too not disbursed to 1/3rd families, so far, JKPCC said, adding. not a single word about this and other components of the package and joint all party parliament committee report was said.
The party also reiterated that the BJP is more concerned about political interests at the time of grave crisis and people dying of COVID-19 besides severe external challenges.
