NEW DELHI, Dec 8: Union Minister and BJP “Sah-Prabhari” of Gujarat Assembly election, Dr Jitendra Singh said today that BJP “Sankalp Patra”, released this morning by Union Finance Minister and  Election “Prabhari”  Arun Jaitley, is committed to Gujarat’s future and that BJP is the only political party which has a definite road-map for Gujarat .
Dr Jitendra Singh said, unlike Congress or others, there is absolutely no ambiguity or vagueness about BJP’s vision for Gujarat because it focuses only and only on development, without any extraneous considerations whatsoever. He said, under the guidance of Narendra Modi, the BJP Government has led Gujarat to achieve the highest GSDP in the country and in the last five years itself, Gujarat has grown at an average rate of 10% among the large States of India. This, he said, has been possible because of a single-minded commitment of the Government to carry forward the agenda of growth and development without being distracted by any contradictions.
Lashing out at Congress party and its allies, Dr Jitendra Singh said, the Congress leadership is only hoodwinking the people of Gujarat to evoke casteist passions for vote, but the truth is that they have no alternative or clear road – map for offering reservation to Patidars or any other section of society as being claimed by them. He said, never once has any Congress leader sought to explain as to how they propose to give further reservations to any section of society under the existing constitutional arrangement. The Congress party owes an explanation to the people of Gujarat, whether to accommodate Patidars or any other section, are they ready to reduce the already existing reservation to other sections or classes, he asked.
Meanwhile, soon after his arrival at union capital from Surat today, Dr Jitendra Singh convened a high level meeting of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (ARPG),Govt of India, wherein he issued instructions to advise all the State Governments to link their respective Grievance Cells with the Central CPGRAMS portal set up by ARPG in the Union Ministry of Personnel.
This, he said, would bring in uniformity and also ease grievance disposal. For this purpose, the Central Department of ARPG will also be ready to offer its assistance and training to the officials handling the State Grievance Cells.
During the meeting, attended among others by Union Secretary ARPG K.V. Eapen, the Minister was informed that the total number of grievances has gone up to a record over 14 lakh while the disposal rate is also almost 100% and on an average, for any given month, not less than 95%.
