BJP seeks status of resolution for return of Kashmiri Pandits

JAMMU: The BJP today sought to know the status of a resolution, passed last year, for creating a conducive atmosphere for the return of Kashmiri Pandits and other migrants to the Valley.

The Jammu and Kashmir Assembly had unanimously passed the resolution on January 19 last year.

BJP lawmaker Surinder Ambardar today sought to know the status of the resolution as he urged mainstream political parties to take a call on it.

“What is status and fate of the those resolutions? Has anything been done after that. I want to know?,” Ambardar said.

He was speaking on the private member’s resolution of BJP MLC Vikram Randhawa who said “this august house resolves that return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri migrants be ensured in a time-bound manner and due representation should be given to them in state Assembly”.

Ambardar said that all the mainstream political parties and others should have joined hands to defeat the narrative of separatists to ensure the return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits in the valley.

He called for implementation of the resolution and urged the government to take step in this regard. (AGENCIES)
