JAMMU, Nov 12: The overwhelming response to the ongoing membership drive of the party indicates that BJP will create history this time in Jammu and Kashmir UT, stated Sat Sharma former Minister and UT president of BJP while chairing a series of meetings of party activists at party Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar today.
The meetings were convened to review the membership drive being undertaken in Jammu and Kashmir.
BJP National Executive Member and Headquarter Incharge, Priya Sethi, senior leader, Daljit Singh, Nanaji Deshmukh Library Incharge, Prof. Kulbhushan Mohtra and Membership Drive convenor, Munish Khajuria shared dais with Sat Sharma.
Sat Sharma said that the BJP is gaining popularity with each passing day and its wider acceptance can be well judged from the rise in vote percentage and number of seats in the recently held Assembly elections in the UT.
” Ours is a cadre based party and the role of every activist is important in the successful conduct of any campaign, programme of BJP”, Sat said, adding that each one of us is always on ground, unlike other parties which appear in public only during elections.
BJP president asked the party activists to devote more time to reach every household and motivate maximum people to be members of the party.
Meanwhile, listening to the grievances of the party activists from Doda West, Doda East and Bhaderwah, Sat assured them to take effective steps to mitigate the same.
Those who apprised the BJP chief of public issues included Sarpanchs, Rajinder Rakwal, Sandeep Manhas, Joginder and Raj Kumar, district secretary, Mandal presidents, Kashmir Singh, Dhananter and Manjeet Pathania, Sanjay Sharma State vice- president BJYM, Gagan Rana of Yuva Morcha, Arjun Rana, Yograj Singh, Vijay Sharma, Lalit Raina, Akash Manhas, Rajesh Parihar, Hakam, Vicky Bhau Abhimanyu Kotwal and Parvinder.
