SAMBA, Sept 28: Pradesh BJP vice president and the candidate for Samba Assembly constituency, Surjeet Singh Slathia today said that Jammu and Kashmir is poised for a huge and mega transformation with its Government implementing schemes aimed at empowering the youth, farmers, poor and women.
Addressing election rallies at Kapai, Palth, Balore, Supwal, Rakh Barotia and Marh Badwal in the Samba constituency, Slathia said the BJP is all set to form the Government at the strength of huge mandate of the people, which is reflected by mega turnout in the first two phases of the ongoing elections and enthusiasm among the voters for the third and final phase.
“October 8 will be a momentous day for the people to have their own Government, which will be inclusive and development oriented”, Slathia said, adding that while the past five years since the abrogation of Article 370 will be remembered for restoration of peace and order, the next five years will witness consolidation of the holistic development and progress of all sections of society without any discrimination or appeasement of chosen few.
Slathia referred to the BJP’s thrust on sectors like agriculture, employment, education, healthcare, social welfare, infrastructure development, rehabilitation and promotion of culture, saying these will be game changer for the people, who have suffered hugely in nearly seven decades. The people will for themselves witness the development model which will take care of every segment, irrespective of religion, region and caste. Those having inflicted huge scars on the people by denying them equal opportunities and access to the resources will have to answer for every penny they got from the Centre for welfare and progress of this part of the country, he added.
Slathia lashed out at the Congress, NC and the PDP for their collusion in encouraging mistrust among people and sowing the seeds of separatism with sinister motivation of rehabilitating the power corridors by exploiting their sentiments. While the common people, especially in Kashmir, suffered death and destruction, these elite political actors remain hand-in-glove to enjoy the hay when Sun is shining, he said, adding that the BJP will issue a White Paper to fix responsibility of those involved in emergence of terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir that has now spread its tentacles in the Jammu region.
