R.S PURA, Mar 15: J&K National Conference (NC) Women Wing vice president, Bimla Luthra today expressed concern over alleged marginalization of educated youth, rural poor, especially the women and sought fast-track measures in mitigating their problems on account of jobs and provision of minimum basic necessities.
“Women and youth empowerment and provision of utility services to the poor have received major dent in recent years,” she claimed holding BJP’s lack of vision responsible for this and asserted that these issues cannot be put on backburner any more.
Luthra was speaking during a membership drive among women in area at village Plata, R.S Pura.
She said that Jammu has suffered due to BJP non-performance and non-seriousness in addressing the core issues with regard to development, employment and implementation of various public welfare schemes. “Instead of addressing these issues the BJP has been indulging in rhetoric, which does not augur well for the democratic polity,” Luthra maintained adding that BJP leadership should come of age and go for extensive introspection over its failures in J&K as it failed miserably in checking the pulse of the people and assuaging their economic, developmental and political aspirations.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Bharti, Savita, Jyoti, Raji, Swarna, Shakuntla, Rita and others.
