JAMMU, Nov 30: Jammu and Kashmir Sikh Intellectual Forum, Sikh United Front and several other Sikh bodies have alleged that BJP stand exposed on Gujarat Sikh farmers’ issue pertaining to criminal apathy and neglect of BJP Govt of Gujarat.
In  separate meetings held here these bodies strongly condemned the  attitude of Gujarat Government led by Narendra Modi and double standards of BJP on demographic issues  and its anti-minority face. They alleged that the BJP stand exposed on this issues as over 50,000 farmers from Punjab who were settled in Kacch district of Gujarat by then Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri are now being asked to vacate by Modi Government by changing clause in the land laws. The hapless Punjabi farmers have now knocked the doors of Supreme Court of India.
They said the BJP all over India opposes Article 370 and demands that any Indian citizen is free to settle in any part of the country, but the same party on the other hands has double standards in case of Sikh farmers settled in border region of Gujarat by the then Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri.   They said if these minority community people  could not get justice at the hands of Narendra Modi, what more could be expected from him if he is made Prime Minister of the country.
They pointed out that some self interested Sikh leaders are holding meetings to seek participation of Sikh community in Modi’s rally which is unfortunate. They demanded that Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal should strongly take up the case of these families with top BJP leadership. Prominent among those included Avtar Singh Khalsa from Sikh United Front, Mohinder Singh from BKNSS, Gajan Singh, Ramnik Singh besides K S Danish from Jammu Kashmir Sikh Intellectual Forum.
