SRINAGAR, Oct 10: Jammu and Kashmir BJP Co-in charge, Ashish Sood today condemned the ‘selective’ killings of minorities in Kashmir and stated they stand with the minorities who are being targeted while questioning the silence of the human rights activists
Sood along with BJP’s General Secretary Vibodh Gupta, BJP leader Surinder Ambardar, Media In-charge Manzoor Bhat District President Srinagar Ashok Bhat General Secretary Yuva Morcha Bilal Parray & Office Incharge Shalinder Singh visited the families of chemist ML Bindroo and Satinder Kaur, who were recently killed by militants in Valley.
Sood said they condemn the selective killings and selective outrage in the Valley and people who are talking only about Lakhimpur Kheri and Hathras are silent about the killings of Hindus and Sikhs in Kashmir.
“Why killings of a teacher, Street Hawker from Bihar Virender Paswan, who was a Dalit killed by radical Islamists have not been condemned by Congress and Aam Admi Party (AAP), National Conference and Samajwadi Party. They are silent on the issue,” he said.
Sood said those who are claiming themselves to be champions of human and Dalit rights are mum on the issue. “Police should nab the culprits behind these killings,” he said.
On the occasion, Vibodh Gupta termed the recent killings in Kashmir as barbaric and offered his condolences to the families in this time of grief. He termed the attacks as a cowardly act.
He said militants are killing innocents and they are targeting unarmed civilians “but they did not know that every person is ready to give sacrifice for this country.”
“Such acts are barbaric and highly condemnable. These things would not be tolerated anymore. These attacks are aimed to disturb the peace in the region,” he said.
Gupta said security agencies should ensure the safety of civilians in Kashmir and particularly the minorities and urged police to investigate the cases and nab the culprits behind the attack.
Later, Sood, Gupta attended the meeting along with State Spokesperson, National Executive Member Dr Darakhshan Andrabi at the party office and reviewed the ongoing party works. Sood said BJP stands with minorities who are being targeted in Kashmir and the party stands with them at the time of grief.
