JAMMU, Mar 17: The recent incident, where allegation has been leveled against Jammu & Kashmir Health Minister Ch. Lal Singh, by one doctor, seems to be as a counter blast to the efforts being made by the Minister to enforce discipline in the medical services and to instill the confidence of the public. This was stated by BJP chief spokesperson Sunil Sethi, while talking to reporters here today along with BJP spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan.
Making public the resolve of the party to stand by all constructive efforts being made by Health Minister to improve medicare facilities and enforce discipline, he said this is in the interest of the public and ailing humanity.
Mr Sethi said wearing uniform gives the respect to the doctors in the eyes of all the persons coming to the hospitals and also gives the confidence to the patients and their attendants that the doctor is available on duty.
He said that the situation now is being exploited by the vested elements, who are trying to rally around the doctor without understanding as to who is at fault. The whole effort seems to be to remove the Health Minister from his Ministry so that the malpractices being practiced in the medical sector continues as such. The public at large is highly appreciable of the efforts being done by the Minister to enforce the discipline and improve the medicare facilities and are having high hopes from the Minister that he will deliver by the dint of his hard work and untiring efforts.
Sethi said in J&K also, there have been large scale irregularities in the medical services and the confidence of the patients on the doctor, particularly in Government sector, gets shaken repeatedly because of this. Ch. Lal Singh, Health & Medical Education Minister, J&K State, is known for his honesty and up-righteousness and his extra endeavour to provide best patient care in the medical institutes in the state, particularly in Government sector.
Sethi reiterated that the Party stands by Ch. Lal Singh as he is working round the clock to improve medicare facilities, which is not being digested by some vested interests.
