BJP stands exposed on all fronts: Cong

JAMMU, July 16: The BJP which always claimed itself as the party with a difference and promised to give an efficient and clean governance, has been exposed for its failures on all fronts after it took total U-turn on its ideology and commitments with the people in the State.
In a press statement here PCC chief spokesman Ravinder Sharma said that BJP finds itself in tight spot and cornered, for having failed to deliver on its tall claims during the Lok Sabha and later Assembly elections and is trying to indulge in diverting the attention of the people from the failures of the Centre and State Government.
Mr Sharma said that the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has been maintaining silence on serious and sensitive issues which have arisen in relation to the past over one year of the rule at the Centre as he has failed to act against the erring leaders like Sushma Swaraj and Vasundhra Raje Scindia despite their highly objectionable role in the Lalit Modi issue and Shiv Raj Singh Chouhan, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, despite the ugliest Vayapam scam claiming around 49 mysterious deaths and in several other like issues of serious concern to the nation and all these were exposing the tall claims of BJP before the countrymen in a short span of its rule.
On the contrary, the Congress record to deal with such situations and issues of impropriety and corruption are far-far better as all those who faced any such allegations were subjected to process of law. It is the Congress which enacted the land mark RTI legislation which revolutionized the democracy by arming the common man with a tool to expose corruption and mal-practices in the system.
It is unfortunate that the leaders of the BJP in the State, still feel that they can hoodwink people when the party has betrayed the electorate, after its summersault and surrender on its basic ideology and core commitments to the electorate for the sake of power. The party stands exposed not only for its double standards and duplicity while in opposition and in power but also on the issues of principled politics and governance as its several ruling leaders are mired in controversies and allegations of serious nature but continue to enjoy their positions in power.
