JAMMU, Apr 11: Former minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla today alleged that BJP stands exposed on its dubious role to settle Rohingyas in Jammu.
While interacting with people of Amar Singh Colony and Bhour Camp area of Gandhi Nagar constituency today, Bhalla cautioned the people against nefarious divisive designs of PDP-BJP coalition in J&K and said that Saffron Party was adopting double standards on deporting Rohingyas and Bangladeshis from Jammu.
“It was during Atal Behari Vajpayee led NDA Government in 2001 that first batch of Rohingyas had reached Jammu and the then State and Central Governments had settled them in Jammu”, Bhalla recalled, adding, “It was NDA Government that had opened the flood gates for the influx of huge number of these foreigners in Jammu, reasons best known to them”.
Bhalla said that for the last four years, BJP is ruling the country with absolute majority at the Centre and the party is equal partner in the PDP led Coalition Government in J&K but nothing has been done to deport Rohingyas from Jammu. This exposed real face of the Saffron Party, he observed.
PCC leader further added that recently it was exposed and established that a local BJP leader was involved in settling Rohingyas in Jammu with the support of some senior leaders.”BJP has to clear stand of the State Government of which it is equal partner and also steps taken by the Narendra Modi- led NDA Government for around four years of power, over the issue of Rohingyas and Bangladeshis”, he said and added BJP cannot hide from public that it wants to appease its coalition partner and just passing on the buck to others on this highly sensitive issue.
Recalling that BJP leadership had constructed concrete structures for Rohingyas to appease Kashmir Centric separatist as well as coalition partner- PDP for the lust of power, Bhalla recalled that in the month of November 2016 fire broke out in the illegal colony of Rohingyas. He alleged that BJP leaders including party’s J&K incharge Avinash Rai Khanna and local MLA had immediately rushed to the spot and sanctioned material for constructing concrete structure for them just to appease PDP.
